Red Summer studied Theater and Communications Education at Grambling State University before attaining Masters Degrees in Interdisciplinary Art from Columbia College Chicago and Heritage Preservation/ Museum Studies from Georgia State University. Curating the opening of The Hip Hop Museum DC was one of her main goals when moving to the DC area after traveling the world as a Spoken Word Artist, Publisher, Performer, Motivational Speaker, and Filmmaker. Currently, Red is pursuing a Doctorate Degree in Communication, Culture and Media Studies at Howard University where she is also a Teaching Associate.
